What does ProPIC stand for?

ProPIC stands for Promoting Professionalism, Innovation, and Transnational Collaboration.

Who is involved in the project?

Newcastle University is one of five partners taking part in the project. We are also working with the University of Barcelona (Spain), the University of Borås (Sweden), the University of Kiel (Germany) and the University of Education Karlsruhe (Germany).

What is the aim of the project?

The project is aiming to support language teachers in their professional development and their use of mobile technologies, in a collaborative and research-oriented process.

How will students achieve this?

Students complete online learning modules and attend a study week abroad at one of the partner universities. They then complete research projects, either individually or with others. Students completing the study weeks receive a bursary for their travel and accommodation costs.
